The Dam on Wild's Pond

The "Falls" at Wild's Pond - Not a natural waterfall, this dam served both Wild's "upper" mill, a part of which is shown here as well the "lower" mill shown below. Sadly, the dam has been in a state of disrepair for many years. It is located north of the bridge at the west end of Main Street.

Snyder's Tin Shop Snyder's Tin Shop - A complex of buildings that stood at the approximate location of the current fire house. It was known as the tin shop after the pots and pans that were fabricated there. From this central location "drummers" criss-crossed a large segment of the county, selling a variety of "notions" to the farmers and rural families of the area.
