Although the school had already been in operation for two months, the formal dedication did not take place until November 1, 1929.  Governor Franklin D. Roosevelt gave the main address.  Note that more people are listed in the caption than are actually in the photo. We think the "missing person" is Hugh Lamont, the president of the school board.
