The Valatie Free Library serves the Village of Valatie and the surrounding community in the scenic Hudson River Valley of New York State. Make a splash, read!

REGISTRATION FOR VFL'S SUMMER PROGRAM
Registration for our summer program begins on Friday, June 18th. Grab a copy of the calendar of events here or visit the library to pick one up and register. You may also call us at 758-9321 to register or to obtain more information. Children in the primary and elementary schools will receive a flier entitled "Make a Splash! Read!" which details both Valatie and Kinderhook's summer programs.

Valatie's Forgotten History

Village Historian Dominick Lizzi's book, Valatie: The Forgotten History, is now available at the library. Copies are available to use in the library for reference or to check out and read at home. You can also purchase your own copy. (A portion of the proceeds goes to the library.) "Complete with numerous maps and photos, many never before published, this book chronicles the life and times of a small New York village - from the earliest native settlements to the dawn of the 21st century."

Link to Kids' Port New from the Mid-Hudson Library System. Kids' Port was launched to help parents and kids find fun, safe, and educational Internet choices.
